A hardworking shopkeeper drove his donkey to the market to buy salt. On their way home， they had to cross a stream. The donkey was very tired， and he slipped on a rock and fell into the water.

A boy fell ill. His organs were damaged by the radiation of an infrared ray stove. But before the ambulance arrived， a number of other injuries happened to this unlucky boy over and over again. Do not throw good things away; you may be glad to have them at some other time.

The Raven and the Swan乌鸦和天鹅
A RAVEN saw a Swan and desired to secure for himself the same beautiful plumage. Supposing that the Swan's splendid white color arose from his washing in the water in which he swam， the Raven left the altars in the neighborhood where he picked up his living， and took up residence in the lakes and pools. But cleansing his feathers as often as he would， he could not change their color， while through want of food he perished.

狗和影子
(The Dog and the Shadow)It happened that a Dog had got a piece of meat and was carrying it home in his mouth to eat it in peace. Now， on his way home he had to cross a plank lying across a running brook. As he crossed， he looked down and saw his own shadow reflected in the water beneath. Thinking it was another dog with another piece of meat， he made up his mind to have that also. So he made a snap at the shadow in the water， but as he opened his mouth the piece of meat fell out， dropped into the water and was never seen more.
一只狗嘴里衔着一块肉，走过一条河上头的桥，看见他自我在水里的影子，以为是另一只狗，那时狗衔着的肉，比他自我的还要大一倍。所以他仍掉自我的那一块，狠狠地扑向那只狗，想夺到那一块较大的肉。结果两头都落了空，因为他想要抓取在水中的那一块，只可是是一个影子，而原先的那一块，也被水冲走了。
